Eligibility
- Open to all current Silver and Bronze Champions of all Member Clubs in the Wellington District
- A Club Champion who has transferred to another club may still represent her previous club
- If the Club Champion is unavailable, the Runner-up may compete
- The players participate in the Division for which they won their Club Championship.
Current Club Champions
- There must be at least two players competing in the relevant Club Championship before the winner is eligible to participate in the Champion of Champions tournament
- The Club Champions may have been determined from either stroke or match play championships
- Where a club offers two styles of Club Championship (stroke & match), it must determine prior to both these events, which Champion will participate in the Champion of Champions.
Handicap Changes
- Any player whose handicap has changed between the time of the Club Championship and the Champion of Champion’s tournament will participate in the Division in which she won the Club Championship
- This applies even if her current handicap index would put her in another Division,
Recommendation for Draw
- Division Champions should be drawn together – ie Silvers, Bronze
- It is recommended that the Championship draws be seeded
- Play should be in threes
- Tee arrangements to suit course.

A 36 hole stroke play competition without application of handicap.

GROSS STABLEFORD ROSEBOWL
Club Team
A Club Team comprises two members
- The Club Silver and Bronze Champions or
- The leading Silver Division player and the leading Bronze Division player, if a club has only an Open Championship (either stroke play or match play)
Should a player be a champion of more than one club she may play as a memberof the team for each club.
Substitutes
Silver & Bronze Stroke Play Championships:
If a prescribed team member (as above) is unavailable the club may substitute the next available player who finishes closest to the winner of her Division.
- Silver & Bronze Match Play Championships:
If the Silver or Bronze Champion is unavailable, the runner up may be substituted, or a losing semi-finalist
- Open Match or Stroke Play Championship:
If a prescribed team member is unavailable, the Club may substitute the next available player who finished closest to the winner in her Division.
Competition
Team Competition: The aggregate of the two team member’s individual 36 hole gross Stableford scores (ie without application of handicap).

Par 5 hole: Any Player’sgross score:
4 = 3 points; 5 = 2 points; 6 = 1 point; 7 = 0 points
Determining the Winners
- Each club’s team score will be the aggregate of the two team member’s individual 36 hole gross Stableford scores
- Ties: A count back of the Teams Gross Stableford Aggregate (GSA) will apply to determine the winning team. The count back will be on the last 18, then last 9,6,3 or 1 hole.

THOMPSON TROPHY
The Thompson Trophy, donated by the late Mrs Dorothy Thompson, is awarded annually to the player who achieves the greatest reduction in handicap index during the season commencing 1 February to 30 September in any one year. The competition is restricted to players with handicap indices no higher than 40.4. If a player gains an official handicap index (i.e. 40.4 or less) after 1 February in any one year she is eligible to compete in the competition from the date she has gained her official handicap.
