Anna Shires

Much of my working career was with Fonterra (Dairy Board) in off shore market development roles and then back on New Zealand in the rapid growth of the dairy industry. After periods working in Asia particularly I appreciate how lucky we are in New Zealand with our wonderful variety of golf courses. Golf for me started during school holidays in a paddock with my keen grandmother keeping us occupyied. My current management consulting work does not allow as much time as I would like for playing golf, however I am really enjoying being a part of the WGI Board and making a contribution to support and strengthen the great Clubs and golfing community that we enjoy in the District. This year 2012 my focus has been on getting the new website up and running.
