National Selection Position Open

National Selection Panel Position

New Zealand Golf is now recruiting for a new member on the national men’s selection panel.

With Rod Patterson recently standing down a South Island based position has now opened up.

New Zealand Golf would like to take this opportunity to thank Patterson for his time and effort within the role of national selector over the past six years.  He has dutifully given his time to the role alongside others on the national panel over this period, being part of many national team selections.

The role had previously been refined in 2015, with Patterson combining with John Spraggs to form the men’s national selection panel and Lisa Herbert and Annie Seed making up the women’s national selection panel.

The focus of the two panels is to select New Zealand representative teams for the major national representative events, the pinnacle team events held each year.  This list of events includes the Queen Sirikit Cup (women), The Astor Trophy (women), The Espirito Santo Trophy (women), The Southern Cross Invitational (men and women), the Nomura Cup (men) and the Eisenhower Trophy (men).

The position advertisement can be found here and the position description can be found here.
